MEETING:  WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2017, 6:45 P.M., Monmouth County Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan, NJ. .
DR. DONNA MUZZICATO will present a program that should be of great interest and help to all members who do, or hope to, market their artwork professionally..  
Market Yourself
“MY” 
“MY” presentation includes tips and skill builders focusing for essential strategies for marketing yourself in the visual arts arena. Topics include artist statement, artist bio, market action plan (MAP), portfolio, social media and networking, trademarks and copy rights, press releases, and market materials. Sharing lessons learned discussion and closing remarks. Challenge, Package, Cell, Sell Yourself!
This program is free and open to the p ublic. Light refreshments will be available.
The library has requested that ALL members and attendees use the parking lot off of Alexander Drive (behind the library). There is direct access to all meeting rooms from this parking lot and handicapped parking and access is available.


Freehold Art Society members will once again exhibit work at the Wainright House and Museum, 48 Main Street, Farmingdale, NJ, for the month of September, 2017. This is a fun event at the historic location. FAS members participating in this exhibit are KATHY BANFIELD, CAROLYN TISCHER BARTLETT, DANA COHOON, VICKY CULVER, HEMA GUPTA, VALERIE RIGAZIO and GERRIE VERGONA. There will be a reception, Sunday, September 10th from 1 to 4 p.m. Owner, Virginia Woolley, has extended an open invitation to any member of the Freehold Art Society to visit the Museum and Craft Center on any Saturday (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) or Sunday (1 to 4 p.m.) to paint, draw or photograph Wainright, as well as the other lovely historic homes up and down the Main Street. The museum will be open for water and restroom facilities.

FREEHOLD PUBLIC LIBRARY SHOW: The prospectus for our next open exhibit at the Freehold Borough Library is enclosed. Pickup of work currently there, and delivery of pieces for the September 2017 to February 2018 exhibit is Monday, September 11 from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m, and Tuesday, September 12 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.

*FAS member, Paul Pugliese, won 2nd place in sculpture at the Monmouth County Fair. 

*Monmouth County Senior Art Show 2017. Many members of the Freehold Art Society participated in this exhibit. Below is a list of those members.

Freehold Township Heritage Society will be holding it’s annual Artisan Festival on October 1, 10-4 pm.. info:  FTHeritageSociety@gmail.com or 732-577-9766.
Freehold Art Gallery 7A West Main St., Freehold. presents 2 exhibits through Oct 8. In the Featured Artists Gallery “Connection(s)”, the fine art of the 2nd Annual African Diaspora Arts Festival, curated by Kortez. In the Main Gallery, the latest exhibit of our many talented local artists. Hours are Wed-Sat 12 – 2 pm, Fri-Sat 6:30 – 9:30 pm, Sundays 12 – 4 pm.
